I’m certainly not the first person to compare Mark Zuckeberg to a someone riding bare-back on a runaway horse that’s waaaaay too big for him.  Perhaps he can slow the steed to a gallop with this latest move.  Facebook is now giving users more local news — less news overall — but more from local sources.  What really disturbs me though — aside from the fact it took him so long to wake up to the fact his platform is damaging our democracy and dividing our society like no other — is that he has so much control over what our society is exposed to.  Still, I applaud the aim of this step.  Now maybe his controlling, profit-only driven company can rethink the Messenger App designed for kids under the age of 13.  Here’s a link.
